Description
During the 2014 Georgia General Assembly, SB391 was enacted to provide a tax deduction for uncompensated physician preceptors who provide community based training for Georgia medical, physician assistant and nurse practitioner students. This program provides GA-PTIP 2015 Updates for the physician preceptors.

Objectives

  • Understand the physician requirements that must be fulfilled in order to receive the Georgia State Income Tax deduction
  • Discuss the rationale for the newly created tax deduction commencing July 2014
  • Distribute information related to the AHEC certification mechanism to appropriate physician preceptors
